1999 was another great year for Bushwhacker outings!

In June, six Bushwhackers visited the Chugach mountains in Alaska. Steve Matera, Allen Jones, Doug Hagen, Seth Pollack, Carol Ray and Doxey Kemp had an exciting adventure fording rivers and climbing the Eklutna Glacier. The group learned a lot and made some great contacts. Whoo-doggie!

In mid-July, six intrepid Bushwhackers headed for Snowfield Peak. Carol Ray, Mario Moreno, Seth Pollack, Doug Hagen, Mike Ryan, Perry Weinberg and Doxey Kemp summited Snowfield Peak, with some continuing to the top of Pyramid Peak. All agreed with The Mountaineers climb description, "A pleasant outing with a strenuous approach." Don't miss the feature article written by Doug Hagen.
