<photo here> West Cady Ridge offers splendid alpine walking in spring, with views of the Wild Sky Wilderness area, as well as towering Sloan Peak.  Bring snowshoes for the climb up to the summit of the ridge, Benchmark Mountain.

Sometimes a day outing, this one may be held as overnighter with a snowcamp at the summit.  The descent then creates a loop back to civilization via cross-country travel down a wooded ridge, emerging onto the trails below.
