<photo here>A climb of Mount Rainier's Emmons Glacier starts in forests with immense trees, includes visits to flower gardens in meadows, and snow fields near waterfalls. Finally arriving at the glacier, the team ascends steep snow and negotiates tricky crevasse crossings. This variety is part of what makes the Emmons Glacier a Bushwhacker community favorite.
As is our tradition, we will budget some extra time for acclimatization at Camp Schurman. There we will enjoy the scenery and a day out with our friends, as well as meeting climbers from around the region and the country.
