New Title Images for the Site
July 20, 2007
The club website has featured Seth's Forbidden Peak banner photo, along with his devils club title image, for more than a year. Thanks Seth!
I recently sent out a call to the club asking for new banner images. Check out the new image above, taken by recent Glacier Course graduate Robert. I asked Robert about the image.
We took that last year, probably sept or oct, on a ridge on Goat Island mountains. We bushwhacked up after leaving the Summerland trail. The shot is looking past Little Tahoma at Disappointment Cleaver. What I liked about the shot (hard to see in this small version) is the fresh dusting of snow that fell the night before.
Philip has submitted a some very beautiful images, and we look forward to featuring them in the coming weeks. In addition, several other Bushwhackers, including Shauna and Steve, have expressed interest in participating. Let's have those banner images, folks! Looking forward to it!

Old Newsletter site resurrected
January 11, 2007
I have resurrected the old Bushwhacker Newsletter website. That site celebrated the adventures of our community before there was a Bushwhacker Climbing Club. It had a certain homespun charm, and we had fun with it for years. Indeed, the old Newsletter site was part of the spirit of the community, and therefore contributed to the formation of the club.
A link to the old Newsletter can be found on the left-side menu, or you can click here to see the old Newsletter. ![]()

Autumn Rendezvous!
September 25, 2006
Whoo hoo, what a weekend! There were Bushwhackers all up and down Icicle Canyon. Condor Buttress, Eightmile Butress, Trundle Dome and others. Two eager hikers trekked to the summit of Little Annapurna on Saturday. In Tumwater Canyon, February Buttress and Castle Rock saw Bushwhacker climbing action. The Top Rope Outing was a success, and everyone participating in that had fun.
The Rendezvous camp at Lower Johnny Creek was great. There were a couple dozen people for the campfire and the morning-after pancake breakfast. And there was a family-style gathering at a cabin at the mouth of the canyon, which was very fun.
Yay, Autumn Rendezvous! Next year let's do it again!
