Avalanche I Course

Avalanche awareness and snow pack analysis skills are critical in backcountry snow travel. Please consider participating in this important training.

The club is sponsoring a AIARE Avalanche I course including three days of instruction from the experts at Pro Guiding. The course will be held at Alpental at the Summit at Snoqualmie. Snowshoers are welcome.

Cost of the Course

$301. Participants must have a lift ticket one day at Alpental. All participants must also have an avalanche probe, shovel, and an avalanche transceiver. These items can be rented at local shops such at Marmot in Bellevue, and there are some to be borrowed in the Bushwhacker community.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites for the course.
